Police in Lagos have said a Corp member who was abused by the Command’s officers will be prosecuted. The Corp member, 24-year-old David Ogunnusi, serving in Lagos was together with his brother, reportedly manhandled by three police officers around Ikorodu on Friday. Responding on Twitter, Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command gave the names of the three officers as ASP Adedeji Babatunde, ASP Ebiloma John and Inspector Obidah Daniel, attached to the Sagamu Road Police Division in Ikorodu area of Lagos State. A Federal High Court in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital has struck out a suit filed by Dave Umahi, asking the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) to recognise him as a senatorial candidate of the APC. The presiding judge, Fatun Riman had ruled that Ann Agom-Eze, who came second to Austin Umahi, the brother to the Governor Dave, was the winner of the primaries. Operatives of the Ibadan Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on Thursday, July 21, 2022 arrested a convicted internet fraudster, Okhiria Alex Chibueze and thirty-two others for alleged internet-related fraud, popularly known as “Yahoo Yahoo”. The suspects were nabbed in a sting operation at Soka area of Ibadan, Oyo State, following intelligence reports on their alleged cyber-fraud activities.
