Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested a syndicate of seven (7) suspected internet fraudsters, popularly known as “Yahoo Boys.” A lady is among the seven suspected internet fraudsters. The suspects, Nnonyelu Favour Chioma, Ajator Henry Sopulu, Ego Andy Seji, Okeke Ikechukwu Jude, Oshioriamite Perfect, Ego Akin and Okeke were arrested on August 12, 2020 in a sting operation at Tunlapal Estate, Kurudu, Abuja Items recovered from them include mobile phones and computer devices. Lagos police saved a man posing as a woman from being lynched on Monday morning. The man who was identified as Sani Gafar was reportedly arrested around the Ijora-Badia area of Lagos, after he was caught by an angry mob who accused him to be a terrorist. No fewer than two people lost their lives when a commercial bus ran into a stationary truck in Anambra State. The incident which took place around 8:45 p.m at Police CID Annex on Onitsha-Awka Expressway, involved the truck with plate number FKJ 22 and a Toyota Hiace bus with number plate GDD 68 ZP. At least three people died in an auto crash in Ogun State on Sunday. Ten more people were also injured in the car accident that took place on Onipepeye area on the Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway. Mr. Ahmed Umar, the FRSC Sector Commander in Ogun disclosed this to newsmen in Abeokuta on Sunday.
