The names of 86 contestants for the vacant stool of the Alaafin of Oyo have been submitted by the Head of Oyo Princes (Baba Iyaji of Oyo),  Chief Mukaila Afonja to the Basorun of Oyo, High Chief Yussuf Ayoola who doubles as the regent of the town. Operatives of the Lagos Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have arrested 21-year-old Temple Samuel for stealing his boss’ Lexus ES 330 car. The suspect was arrested in the Ogba area of Lagos State with three others, namely Benjamin Bassey aged 32, Chukwuemeka Okorie aged 29 and Joshua Agboche aged 37, who had conspired with him to sell the car. Two men were on Tuesday arrested by officers of Ogun State Police for raping a teenage girl. The police statement said that the two confessed to the crime and have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigations Department for further investigation. The police statement, however, failed to release the name of their victim.
