Nigeria’s Aviation Minister, Mr. Hadi Sirika has warned foreign airlines against selling tickets in dollars. The Minister sent out the warning on Wednesday, after the Federal Executive Council meeting held virtually. He said the airlines are making the lives of Nigerians hard by doing so and has vowed to put out measures that will checkmate that. The Gambian Government has warned old British women against traveling to the country to pay young Gambian men for sex and love. Many old and retired British women travel to The Gambia to pay young men known as “bumsters” for sex. Bumsters, the term in the African nation, means “beach boys.” A statement on the British Foreign Affairs website said, “Both male and female visitors should be particularly cautious of young men locally known as ‘bumsters’ who approach tourists, particularly on beaches, offering help or to act as local guides.”

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Benin Zonal Command,  on Wednesday,  September 7, 2022 arrested 11 suspected internet fraudsters. They were arrested at their various  hideouts  in Benin City, Edo State,  following actionable intelligence worked upon by the Commission. The suspects are Okon Destiny, Efe Edomwonyi, Tony Osarobo, Moses Osazee, Ojo Festus, Christian Odiase and Bright Obaro. Others are Precious Aghedo, Harmony Enobakhare, Oluwafemi Adigun and Gift Inedegbor. Items recovered from them at the point of arrest include various brands of mobile phones, laptops and four vehicles. The suspects will be arraigned in court soon.

Nigerian-born British member of Parliament, Kemi Badenoch has been appointed Secretary of State for International Trade and President of the Board of Trade. Her appointment was confirmed yesterday, as newly elected British Prime Minister, Liz Truss announced her cabinet members.
