An unknown number of police officers were reportedly killed on Sunday at Enugwu-Ukwu community in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State when some gunmen opened fire on the convoy of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah. Ifeanyi Uba is the Senator representing Anambra South. Two kids have reportedly died in a school in Lagos, after the fence fell on them. The incident took place on Sunday at Covenant Point Academy located on Ajose Street, in the Amukoko area of the State. According to a witness, Ganiyu Ayeloja, a 9-year-old girl whose name is yet to be known and a 3-year-old boy known as Samat Saheed were killed in the incident. The Government of Kogi State has announced that it will hold a mass burial for 130 unclaimed corpses. The announcement was made public by Mrs Elizabeth Arokoyo, the General Manager, Kogi Sanitation and Waste Management Board. Arokoyo, who was represented by the Acting Secretary of the board, Mr Ajayi Olufemi, said that the corpses were given mass burial at the Felele public cemetery on Saturday. She said that the unclaimed corpses were that of victims of accidents, armed robbers and kidnappers deposited at FMC morgue for months without families or relations coming out to claim them. Popular comedian, Chukwuemeka Emmanuel Ejekwu was involved in a car accident on Sunday. Mr. Ejekwu who is better known by his stage name, Sabinus made this known on his Instagram page. According to reports, the skit maker was returning from where he proposed to his fiancee when the incident took place. His newly acquired Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe was damaged in the process. The United States have declared one Chidozie Collins Obasi wanted for alleged fraud. The Federal Bureau of Investigation(FBI) made the announcement on Friday, asking anyone who knows of his whereabouts to report him to the Bureau. The statement said Mr. Obasi defrauded New York state of more than $30 million. The statement read “Chidozie Collins Obasi of Nigeria is wanted for defrauding N.Y. State out of more than $30 million.
