A Chinese Court, the Intermediate People’s Court of Changchun in northeast China’s Jilin Province, has sentenced former Justice Minister, Fu Zhenghua to death for involvement in bribe. Mr. Fu who was Minister of Justice between March 2018 and April 2020 will die in two years time as the court gave him a two year postponement to his sentence. The court ruled that the 67-year-old who has been a public office holder since 2005, a office that he held till last year, accepted bribes totalling more than 117 million yuan (about $16.76 million). The remains of one Blessing Atim Samuel have been found at New Karu, in Karu Local Government, Nasarawa State. According to Benue Son, a Twitter page, blessing was found along the road and she is reportedly from Benue State, of Tiv origin. Fulani herdsmen have again attacked a Benue community, killing no fewer than 14 persons. The incident which took place in Mchia, a community located in Logo Local Government Area of the State, was confirmed by the State Police Command. The Nigeria Police have arrested a legal practitioner for allegedly assaulting a female police officer attached to her. Police investigation revealed that Prof. Zainab Duke Abiola allegedly instructed her house maid and another man to beat up her security detail for refusing to do house chores.
