A young man by the name Onyedinka Esiala, who uses children suffering from fake stomach tumour to beg for alms at Mile 2, Lagos, was on Wednesday morning and given a severe beating. Esiala, who hails from Enugu State, was almost lynched. Esiala was exposed by passerby, whose name is Benedit. When asked, the suspect accused one Uche, his alleged boss, of initiating the scam. The Lagos State Police Command has rescued a day old baby wrapped in a polythene bag and dumped in a dustbin. This was disclosed in a tweet by the command’s Spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin on his official twitter handle on Thursday evening. According to Hundeyin, if not for the quick detection, the baby would have died. He added that the baby is now doing fine and advised people to prevent pregnancy rather than killing the baby. A police officer and a civilian were killed on Tuesday night when some angry youths attacked a police station in Oyo State.
