A nonprofit organisation based in the Netherlands has estimated that the number of people living with diabetes in Africa will rise astronomically over the course of the next 23 years. A 42-year-old man has been brought before an Ikeja Magistrate Court for assaulting his wife and injuring his toddler’s arm. The prosecution, Raji Akeem, who gave the name of the defendant as Austin Anthony, said the incident occurred on September 8, 2022. He said Mr. Anthony and his wife, Ifeyinwa had a brawl after the latter confronted the former for his refusal to take responsibility for their children. One Dazuli Abubakar has been arraigned before a Kafanchan Magistrate Court for allegedly sodomizing a minor. The suspect was arraigned by Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for breaking against the 259 of the Kaduna State Penal Code Law. Accorsing to Marcus Audu, the NSCDC’s counsel, the defendant lured the 7-year-old boy with N200 before having anal sex with him.
