The Nigerian Department of State Services(DSS) has reportedly uncovered a container of explosives in an estate in Abuja. Residents of the estate located in Lugbe made this known to Sahara Reporters. A source said Nigeria’s secret police, DSS, ransacked Trademore Estate, where they discovered two pistols in an abandoned apartment allegedly hired by a terrorist. A Kano State High Court has sentenced Precious Mesele to two years imprisonment for possession of fraudulent documents. This was made known by EFCC, in a statement they made public on Thursday morning. Justice Farouq Lawal of the Kano State High Court has convicted and sentenced one Precious Mesele to two years imprisonment. The Lagos State Police Command have arrested four suspects who specialise in stealing vehicles and dismantling them for onward sale as spare parts. The four were arrested by operatives of the Ijora Badia division of the command. Spokesman of the command, Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed this in a statement posted on his Twitter handle on Wednesday. Hundeyin gave the names of the suspects as Alafia Afiwajuomo, Ganiyu Tajudeen, Olamilekan Hassan, and Lucky Esomojumi. Reactions have continued to trail the Central Bank’s decision to redesign Nigeria’s three highest denominations, the 200, the 500 and the 1000 Naira notes. The apex Bank’s governor, Dr. Godwin Emefiele made this known on Wednesday during a special press briefing in Abuja. Nigeria’s Flamingos crashed out of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup ongoing in India on Wednesday. The young Nigerians took on Colombia in the semifinal of the championship after beating USA in the last round. However, after a goalless 90 minutes, the game went into penalties which they lost 6-5. Justice Evelyn Anyadike of the Federal High Court Abuja has ordered the Federal Government to “restore Nnamdi Kanu to his status quo before 19th June 2021.” The court also ruled ordered the government to pay N500m as damages to him as compensation for the violation of his human rights. Police in Lagos has nabbed a traffic robber with some weapons. According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the public relations officer of Lagos State Police command, he was arrested around Otedola Bridge after a hit. Hundeyin said, “Officers of Alausa Police Division at 2am today arrested a traffic robber who had in his possession a locally fabricated toy gun and other dangerous items, on Otedola bridge, shortly after robbing a motorist of his valuables. A fire outbreak has been reported at the national office of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) located in Yaba, Lagos.
