Aston Villa have parted ways with first team manager, Steven Gerrard.
The club made the official announcement on their website, after Aston Villa fell to a 3:0 defeat at the hands of new boys, Fulham.
A club spokesman said: “We would like to thank Steven for his hard work and commitment and wish him well for the future.”
Gerrard had said after the game that he is not ignorant of the speculatons surrounding his future but added that he intends to stay and fight to the end.
