The leader of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force, Asari Dokubo paraded the streets Rivers State accompanied by guards and fans.
Asari, a former Niger Delta militant, was decked in complete traditional attire while being accompanied by a band of gun-wielding guards and well wishers.
The armed men had with them high calibre weapons ranging from automatic rifles to rocket launchers.
His actions generated diverse reactions from many Nigerians, with some criticising him, while others saw this as a sign of a failed State.
