Arsenal went four points clear on Sunday with a controversial win over Leeds United.
Eddie Nketiah scored all of Arsenal’s two goals in the first ten minutes of the first half before Luke Ayling got sent off for a two-footed challenge shortly after Raphinha got a yellow.
Leeds were architects of their own downfall as they gave away one of Arsenal’s goals.
After the break, though down to ten men, they battled and were able to grab one back before the game ended.
Arsenal are now safely in 4th spot, four points above Tottenham who drew with 2nd placed Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.
As it stands, Leeds have dropped down to 18, with Burnley in 17 and Everton as far up as 16, after their away win against Leicester City.
Leeds will hope they can get valuable points in their remaining three games to survive the drop, while hoping fellow relegation strugglers, Burnley and Everton drop points too.
