One Isikilu Moses has been arrested by the Ogun State police command in relation to armed robbery.
This was made known by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, when he spoke to journalists in Ota.
DSP Oyeyemi said the police followed a distress call and nabbed the suspect on 8 April, 2022 after him and his gang raided Adebeshi Street, off Joju road, and dispossessed people of their belongings.
She said, “Upon the distress call, the Divisional Police Officer, Sango-Ota Division, SP Saleh Dahiru, quickly mobilised his patrol team and moved to the scene.
“On sighting the policemen, the hoodlums took to their heels, but they were hotly chased, and one of the suspects named Isikilu Moses, was apprehended.
“Recovered from the suspect, are one locally-made pistol, and two mobile phones belonging to their victims,” the officer added.
The PPRO added that the hunt is on for the other members of the criminal syndicate.
