Mr Biodun Oyebanji, who emerged victorious in Saturday’s governorship elections in Ekiti State, has expressed his gratitude to his people.
His victory ensured the State remains under the control of the All Progressives Congress.
According to Vanguard News, Oyebanji polled 187,057 to defeat candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Mr Segun Oni, who scored 82,211, while the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr Bisi Kolawole scored 67,457.
After the Independent National Electoral Commission declared him winner on Saturday evening, Biodun took to his Twitter handle on Sunday morning to thank his voters.
