Reno Omokri has insinuated that the reason so many people have bought the APC Presidential ticket for the 2023 Presidential election is because the party needed ₦1 billion to finance Tinubu’s campaign and election.
The former aider to former President Goodluck Jonathan, made this statement on Thursday afternoon.
He said in the tweet that President Muhammadu Buhari encouraged Yemi Osinbajo, Adams Oshomhole and Co to pick the exorbitant APC presidential ticket so as to raise funds for one of the founding fathers of the party.
Reno said, “APC’s strategy is very simple. They needed ₦1 billion to help Tinubu campaign and did not know how to get the money. So, Buhari encouraged 10 men, including Osinbajo, Amaechi, Ngige, Oshiomhole, and co to contest. And viola, problem solved! Campaign money raised!”
The All Progressives Congress is set to hold its primaries by the end of May, it remains to be seen if Bola Tinubu emerges the winner of the primaries.
