President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy, Dele Alake, stated in Lagos on Saturday that President Tinubu is prepared to lead both locally and internationally, as other African nations look to Nigeria for guidance.
During a visit to President Tinubu’s Ikoyi residence in Lagos, President Umaro Embaló of Guinea Bissau expressed his solidarity and willingness to collaborate with Nigeria under Tinubu’s leadership.
As the Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, Embaló also reinforced the strong ties between the two countries.
Alake sees this engagement as a positive sign for the West African region, praising Tinubu’s recent policy initiatives and emphasizing Nigeria’s crucial role in African affairs.
Alake’s words: “Everybody is looking up to Nigeria, especially in Africa and the ECOWAS region and President Tinubu is ready to take up the gauntlet.”
Speaking on President Embaló’s visit, the President’s spokesperson added: “He came to pay his solidarity and bond with a brother African head of State, in the first instance, and in particular as a brother Head of State in West Africa.
“Everybody is looking up to Nigeria, especially in Africa and the ECOWAS region and President Tinubu is ready to take up the gauntlet.”
