The Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami has withdrawn from the Kebbi State Governorship race.
This is coming after his principal, President Muhammadu Buhari issued a directive to all political appointees in his government vying for public offices to resign.
Malami, it was gathered, pulled out of the gubernatorial race in his home state of Kebbi, after he submitted the N50 million nomination form at the International Conference Centre.
It is believed the meeting with president Buhari also swayed his interest, coupled with the fact that he stands little chance of getting the party’s ticket for the gubernatorial election next year.
