Police in Lagos have nabbed a 65-year old man posing as an Army officer.
According to Benjamin Hundeyin, Lagos State’s police public relations officer, he was arrested at Ipaja Division of the police.
“Officers of Ipaja Division have arrested 65-year old Jeremiah Joseph who presented himself as an Army Lieutenant to one Ignatius. The fake Lieutenant promised to arrange soldiers to help Ignatius recover N4.5m owed him by some people in Delta State.
“He received N120,000 for this service and thereafter absconded. Found in his apartment were a fake Army identity card and uniform.”
