As the All Progressives Congress’ National Convention draws near, the party’s chieftain, Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu has told youths to let him rule Nigeria before them.
The former Governor of Lagos State made this known in Oyo State, where he was visiting the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi on Sunday.
Speaking in Yoruba, Tinubu who was instrumental in forming the All Progressives Congress and in the emergence of Muhammadu Buhari as President in 2015, called on the youths to step aside for his mandate.
He said, “You won’t give room for the elderly to pass and you haven’t become president. What if you become president, you will chase us out of town?”
“You will grow old, you will become president but I will become president first.”
