Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has stated that he has the power to wrestle power from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The very outspoken Governor made this known when he visited his Benue State counterpart, Dr. Samuel Ortom.
It was there he also made known his intention to contest the 2023 presidential election. His party, the People’s Democratic Party is yet to conduct their primaries and Wike urged them to give him the ticket.
“To remove APC from power, I am the person who can tell them ‘enough is enough’.”
“We must take this power and I am ready to take it for PDP and I know that God is with us that is why APC keeps failing every day.”
“I call on stakeholders to give me their mandate and not to sell their votes because I have the capacity to face this APC government,” Wike said.
He added that all the founding fathers who dumped the party have lost their standing in the affairs of the party.
“They can no longer retain their position of founding fathers. I stood and worked for this party since 1998. I have nowhere to run to and that is why anything that happens to this party I take it personally.
Saraki and Atiku are rumoured to be two biggest PDP top guns gunning for the Party’s ticket.
