Ahead of the upcoming 2023 General Elections, Nigerian comedian and actor — Adebowale Adedayo (Mr Macaroni), has urged the country’s electoral umpire to be highly transparent as the citizens decide their next leaders.
Mr Macaroni charged the Independence National Electoral Commission ( INEC) not to give room to any sort of abnormalities, as the election means a lot to Nigerians.
His tweet reads “Dear @inecnigeria
This Particular Election means a lot to the people of Nigeria. We want to exercise our right to choose the Leaders that we want to serve us.
“We are counting on your transparency and accountability to make it work.
Please do not let us down.”
The activist further lauded the body’s services rendition so far and nudged them to keep it up, saying: “We recognize your service and sacrifice so far @inecnigeria, we know it is not easy.
Despite several condemnable attacks on your staff and offices, you have continued to serve.
Please do not relent. Nigerians are counting on you. God bless you,” he concluded.
