A teenage Nigerian, Oluwagbohunmi Ayomide Oyebode, has reportedly crashed a plane, killing his instructor, Viktoria Theresie Izabelle Ljungman, and another passenger.
According to Daily Mail, Viktoria Theresie Izabelle Ljungman, 23, attended Virginia’s Hampton University on a tennis scholarship, eventually becoming a flight instructor.
On Thursday, around 3p.m., she and Oluwagbohunmi Ayomide Oyebode, 18, got into a plane for a lesson.
During an instructional training, Oyebode pointed the nose of the plane at too high an angle at over 100 feet, causing the plane to stall and crash into a ditch.
Ljungman who was a licensed commercial pilot resident in Williamsburg, Virginia, was pronounced dead on the scene.
Oyebode, a Maryland native, and another 18-year-old male were the only other people on the plane.
They’ve since been taken to a local hospital where medical experts have said they have life-threatening injuries.
