Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has called on people to get their Permanent Voterβs Cards (PVCs) and vote for Peopleβs Democratic Party (PDP) candidates in the 2023 General Election.
Fintiri made the call while speaking at a town hall gathering in Hong Local Government Area yesterday, June 18, 2022.
He tasked Hong elders with mobilizing youngsters and advising them to avoid political thuggery and obtain voter cards so that they might vote out leaders who did not perform well in the upcoming general election.
The governor stated that the town hall meeting was held to examine the impact of programmes and policies that his administration is implementing and executing with the goal of revising them as needed.
He promised the residents that portable water scarcity will soon be a thing of the past while outlining the projects he previously executed in Hong, adding that the government has also approved the extension of the 4.4km European Quarters Road in the area.
Fintiri highlighted his administrationβs accomplishments in areas such as security, youth and women’s empowerment, financial autonomy for local government councils, housing, and free education, among others.
He tasked traditional rulers and stakeholders to help the government by giving intelligence reports that would expose criminal elements in their hiding locations.
He went on to say that his administration was able to construct over 300km of rural roads across the state, construct over 5,000 classrooms, upgrade and modernize all the Stateβs general hospitals, and introduce free medical care.
Fintiri promised to offer more benefits of democracy and good governance to the people when meeting with 73 youth groups in Hong, emphasizing that his Administration has an open-door policy and is ready for any criticism.
Earlier, the PDP Chairman of Hong LGA, Hon. Ibrahim Datti, assured Fintiri of the people’s support, as well as massive votes for all PDP candidates in the 2023 General Elections, based on his record in the State.
In their separate remarks, the chairmen of the Muslim Council and Christian Association of Nigeria in the area, πππππ ππ πππ ππππ πβπππ and π ππ£πππππ π·πππ π»πππππ ππ, both praised Fintiri for running an inclusive government.
Aliyu Idi Hong, among other speakers from diverse groups, commended the governor for providing democratic dividends that had a greater impact on the lives of Hong residents than any prior government in Adamawa.
