Former 3CS midfielder Kelly Kester pen two-year deal with Bendel Insurance

Bendel Insurance have announced the transfer of Kelly Kester from South West club Shooting Stars on a two-year contract.

The 31-year-old Midfielder who was formerly at Enyimba, Kano Pillars, Lobi Stars, Akwa United, Nasarawa United and Shooting Stars will become the Club’s second signing after Paul Obata who joined from Gomber United last week.

“My name na Kelly Kester, I dey happy to be back home to Benin to play for Bendel Insurance, Adaaaa Bendel,” Bendel Insurance newboy Kelly Kester.

Kelly Kester who played for Vietnamese side Hoang ANH Gia Lai in 2020 will add experience to the Benin Arsenals most especially after Monday Odigie’s team secured a continental ticket for the first time since 2005.

The defensive midfielder who played a large chunk of the season for Shooting stars last season signed a two-year contract that will see him remain at the club untill 2025.

“Benin Insurance is one of the biggest club in Nigeria, a very traditional team. Growing up, I’ve always watched my dad play for Bendel Insurance so it wasn’t difficult to make this decision to come here,” Kester stated in the unveiling video posted by the club on social media.
