Manchester United have made it two wins from as many games in this summer’s pre-season campaign as Erik ten Hag’s men defeated Laurent Blanc’s Olympique Lyon side in Scotland.
Ten Hag made a couple of changes from the side that defeated Leeds United last week, with Antony and Kovar replacing Forson and Heaton.
Ten Hag had the chance to give some of his returning first-team regulars some minutes but they were all left out of the squad – it is likely they will feature against Arsenal on Saturday instead.
Donny van de Beek was in the side for the first time in over six months, having had his season abruptly ended due to a serious knee injury.
The Dutchman was a second-half substitute and he did not wait long to make his mark, giving United the lead after just four minutes on the pitch with a lovely volley.
Victory for Erik Ten Hag’s men mean they have a 100% winning record in pre-season ahead of their clash with premier League rivals Arsenal in USA on Saturday.
