Following the strings of poor results, the technical adviser of the Nigeria Premier Football League side Nasarawa United Bala Nikyu has resigned from his position.


The Solid Miner who adopted New Jos stadium as their home ground has been having it difficult since the start of the season.


The hope of the team moving out of the drop zone improved during the week after they held Enyimba International to a 1-1 in Aba but the result nosedive again when they face El-Kanemi this weekend.


They suffered a 1-2 away win to El-Kanemi which further jeopardised the team’s survival.


The team announced the resignation of Nikyu via the club’s social media handle and further confirmed Bala Arikya as the Interim manager.


“Coach Bala Nkiyu Resigns His Post As Nasarawa United Technical Adviser as Abubakar Arikya is expected to take over the team in the interim”, the club said.
