In-form attacker of Rivers United Nyima Nwagua has revealed the reasons the team is playing well in this year Confederation Cup.
The Pride of Rivers on Sunday zoomed into the quarter-final of the competition with a game to spare after they played a 2-2 draw against Diable Noirs of Congo.
Nwagua both goals on the day and also his goal on Wednesday ensured a 1-0 win over the Rangers in a rescheduled league match.
The strong attacker said the ongoing season of NPFL is responsible for their good outing in the continent.
” I will say is a very good experience even we’ve not have this kind of experience before but with the way things are going the viewers can actually testify that now that our league is on we are doing well in the continent.
“When our league is on break you see us struggling in the continent for poor fitness despite that we have a tight schedule and it feels very good”, he stated.
