Antonio Conte, Tottenham’s manager openly criticised his players yet again after they dropped all three points against bottom of the league Southampton in rather dramatic circumstances.

Tottenham were ahead of Southampton by 3 goals to 1 with just less than 20 minutes to go but ended up drawing 3-3 after a late James Ward-Prowse penalty.

Tottenham were unable to score a goal against AC Milan across two legs in the Champions League as the Italian side won the tie, thanks to a first leg victory.

Following the game on Saturday, an angry Conte, who is set to depart the club at the end of the season, said, “The problem is we have shown we are not a team. We are 11 players. I see selfish players. I see players that don’t want to help each other, don’t play with heart.”

“It is the same every season, no matter who the manager is.”
