Leadership Is Not By Force – Jonathan Urges Politicians

Ahead of Saturday’s gubernatorial and house of assembly elections, ex-President Goodluck Jonathan has called on politicians to bear in mind that leadership is not by force.

The former President urged all contestants to shun politics of desperation and killing, while also telling them to wait for God’s time to get into leadership positions.

In a statement released on Thursday by Diri’s Chief Press Secretary, Daniel Alabrah, he said: “Leadership is not by force. It is about serving the people. So, if you want to lead the people, you cannot kill them before you lead them.

“In Bayelsa, the challenges will be minimal because we do not have governorship election on Saturday. But I urge our people to conduct themselves well.”
