Gary Neville Slams Bruno Fernandes, Manchester United after league’s heaviest defeat at Anfield

Manchester United hero Gary Neville tore into United captain Bruno Fernandes after his side lost a whopping 7-0 to Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

The Portuguese international was constantly complaining to the referee and his teammates, something Neville took exception of when discussing the match on Sky Sports at full-time. “There were things that I saw in that second half that were a disgrace and I’ll start with Bruno Fernandes because I’ve had enough of him throwing his arms around at his teammates, I’ve had enough of him not running back”, he said.

“He whinges at everybody.” The former England right-back added: “He got pushed in the chest and went down holding his face.

“He’s got to put a captain’s performance in out there and that wasn’t a captain’s performance by a Manchester United player.” Neville’s brutal rant on Fernandes and United in general following such a torrid display may actually show why his recent comments on Arsenal are so wrong.

The Gunners currently lead the league, sitting five points clear of second-placed Manchester City and 14 clear of the Red Devils in third. However, Neville has constantly been sceptical of the north Londoners’ title credentials, even predicting Erik ten Hag’s side to finish above them as recently as last week.
