Sanwo-Olu Condoles Funke Akindele On Her Mother’s Death

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has commiserated with the PDP governorship candidate in Lagos, Funke Akindele, over the death of her mother, Dr. Adebanjo-Akindele.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary Gboyega Akosile on Tuesday, Sanwo-Olu said it is difficult to find the right words to condole someone who has lost a loved one, noting that the loss of mothers is one of the deepest sorrows. man.

The governor prayed for peace, comfort, courage, and love for Funke, his immediate siblings, and the families of Adebanjo and Akindele as they mourn the deceased.

He said: “My heart goes out to Funk, friends of the Adebanjo and Akindele families following the death of their daughter, mother, and grandmother, Dr. RB Adebanjo-Akindele, who answered the last call today, Tuesday, February 7, 2023.

“The death of loved ones, whenever it occurs, is usually a very painful episode, but we must be comforted by the good life the deceased is living. We should enjoy the beautiful memories the dead have left us.

The governor called on the PDP deputy governor aspirant to take solace in the good life her late mother lived and continue to pray for the repose of the deceased.
“On behalf of my family and the good people of Lagos State, I hereby express my sincere condolences to the entire families and friends of Adebanjo and Akindele.
“May God give eternal rest to the souls of the departed and strength to the families to bear the irreparable loss,” he added.

Switch Nigeria reports that Akindele’s elder sister, Olubunmi, announced the death of their mother in a statement on Tuesday.

The statement read: “It is with heavy hearts but in total submission to Almighty God that the families of Adebanjo and Akindele announce the death of their daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister, DR. Adebanjo-Akindele which occurred on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.
