Patrick Vieira said on Friday that it was difficult to understand why he was the only black manager in the top flight.
The Football Black List recognized the efforts of black figures working in various areas of the game this week, including the former captain.
A report published in October revealed that 43 percent of Premier League players are black, but Vieira remains the only manager.

However, black people made up just 1.6 percent of those in executive, leadership, and ownership positions in football.
