Graham Potter is Chelsea’s New Manager

Chelsea have appointed Graham Potter as their new head coach to replace Thomas Tuchel who was sacked in the wake of their shock defeat to Dinamo Zagreb.

He has joined on a five year contract and they are optimistic he will bring progressive football and innovative coaching to Stamford Bridge.

The club view Potter as one of the most exciting coaches in the league.

The 47 year old has in the past worked in Sweden before he transitioned to the English Premier League where he has been coaching for the last four years.

Brighton’s finish last term was their highest since the start of football in England.

Potter said after the announcement was made, “I am incredibly proud and excited to represent Chelsea. It is a fantastic football club and I am very excited to partner with the new management at Chelsea and look forward to working with the exciting group of players and develop a team and culture that the fans will be proud.

He also thanked Brighton and Hove Albion for allowing him the opportunity to take up the job.
