Chelsea Sack Thomas Tuchel

Chelsea have relieved German Manager, Thomas Tuchel of his duties with immediate effect.

The Club released a statement on their website confirming the decision.

“On behalf of everyone at Chelsea FC, the Club would like to place on record its gratitude to Thomas and his staff for all their efforts during their time with the Club. Thomas will rightly have a place in Chelsea’s history after winning the Champions League, the Super Cup and Club World Cup in his time here,” Chelsea wrote on the club’s official website.

The statement further said as the new owners have marked 100 days in office, it seems the right time to make the switch.

However, they did not announce a replacement but instead said the coaching crew will take charge of games for now, until a new coach is brought in.

Tuchel is the second Premier League manager to be sacked this season after Bournemouth sacked Scott Parker.
