VIDEOS: How Nollywood Ada Ameh Was Buried Amid Tears In Benue

Late Nollywood actress, Ada Ameh was on Friday, August 26th, buried in Benue State.

Ameh died on the 17th of July at a hospital in Delta State.

The movie star was said to have collapsed at an event and was rushed to the Nigerian National Petroleum Hospital.

She, however, died before they arrived at the medical facility.

A candlelight ceremony was held for the late actress on August 19, at the National Stadium, Surulere in Lagos.

On August 23, a service of songs was held at Blake Excellence Resort, Garki in Abuja.

This was followed by the lying-in-state in her hometown in Ogobia, Otukpo LGA on Friday.

Ameh was thereafter lowered into her grave as family and friends were captured at the funeral crying uncontrollably.

Notable names present at the funeral service included the Benue State deputy governor, Benson Abounu, Benue South senator, Abba Moro  and the AGN president, Emeka Rollas.

Others included Charles Inojie, Empress Njamah, and Chinedu ‘Aki’ Ikedieze.

Inojie, Ameh’s onscreen husband in the comedy-drama ‘The Johnsons’, took to his Instagram page to share a video from the burial ceremony.

“It’s a wrap for Ada Ameh, there lies a chip of us deadpan and ice-frozen. There lies a broken heritage, wrapped in a funeral encasement. In that air-tight wooden bed, is our naked truth,” he wrote.

“No matter the differences we nursed, you can never tell, how much of us is in them. There again is a grim call. A charge to everyone, that none is promised tomorrow that we may live today as the best of days.

“Spreading love beyond the bounds of our comfortable thresholds. Till the twilights dim on the hour not foretold. When the once sonorous symphony. Fades forever away on the morbid horizons of life’s curtain fall.”
