Sadio Mane has been named as the best male African footballer of the year.
The Bayern Munich man pipped former Liverpool teammate, Mohammed Salah to the award, after a season of heroics for the two men, both for club and their respective Countries.
Both Mane and Salah scored a combined number of 54 goals between them as Liverpool competed on four fronts, winning two trophies.
Meanwhile, Chelsea goalkeeper and Sadio Mane’s Senegalese teammate, Edouard Mendy came third.
Sadio Mane scored the winning penalty as Senegal beat Egypt to lift the latest edition of the Africa Cup of Nations.
This is the second time he’s winning the award, also beating Salah to it back in 2019.
