Davido has been paid $1.5m by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) has paid Davido to feature in the original theme song of the Qatar FIFA World Cup.

The music icon only contributed a verse to official world cup song, with Aisha and Trinidad Cardona also contributing their verses.

In comparison, only Jay Z ($1.7m) has ever been paid higher for a verse.

The song titled Hayya Hayya, which translates to “Better Together,” is just over three minutes long.

Davido said, “I’m honored to be featured on the Official ⁦@FIFAWorldCup⁩ 2022 Soundtrack ! See y’all later 2NITE ! This one is for Africa ! TULE!!!! 🤞🏾❤️ WE RISE!”
