2 Kidnap suspects Rescued from Jungle Justice in Oyo

The Oyo state police command have rescued two men from a mob in Alakia-Adelubi Area of Ibadan.

The two men, Kabiru Salam and Lukman Adisa, were about to face jungle justice at the hands of some angry youths after they attempted to kidnap a 9-year-old girl, known as Ope, on Sunday.

According to the Police PRO, SP Adewale Osifeso, the two men were rescued when the police were alerted via a phone call of attempted murder of the suspects. He added that upon further investigation, they learned that Salam and Adisa tried kidnapping the young girl while she was on her way to church with her mother.

The men were immediately taken to a hospital as they had already received some beating at the hands of the angry mob.

According to the PPRO, “preliminary investigations revealed that the girl was in the company of her mother, one Afolabi Modupe, and other siblings when the two suspects attempted pulling her from her mother’s grip.”
