The Government of Nasarawa State has promised to clamp down on those defacing the state with polythene and plastics.

The Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Kwanta Yakubu made this known after the sanitation exercise in the state on Saturday.

“Once the document is completed and gets the approval of the governor, it will be forwarded to the house of assembly as an executive bill.

“Once we have the legal backing, the Ministry will embark on aggressive enforcement of the law to keep the state clean,” the commissioner added.
