Arsenal lose 10th straight game against Manchester City

It was business as usual for Premier League leaders, Manchester City when they visited The Emirates Stadium to take on in-form Arsenal.

Goals from Riyad Mahrez and Rodri Hernandez were enough to hand Pep Guardiola’s men all three points.

Bukayo Saka had opened the scoring for Mikel Arteta’s men in the 31st minute before the game was turned on its head when Granit Xhaka felled Silva in the box. Mahrez would step up to send Ramsdale the wrong way. 1:1 it was.

Immediately after the equaliser however, Arsenal’s woes continued as Gabriel got himself sent off, when he blocked Jesus’s run in the middle of the park. It was just some few minutes after he got his first yellow.

City with their dominance got even better after the Red card and the equaliser and at the death, their pressure paid off. Rodri Hernandez got his name on the scoresheet with a low drive past Ramsdale.

It was Arsenal’s tenth straight loss to Manchester City, who are now 11 points clear at the top.
