Uzor Kalu gifts Enyimba FC N1m for victory against Al Ittihad

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has gifted Enyimba Football Club of Aba the sum of N1 million for winning their game against Al Ittihad Sc.

The former Abia State Governor had promised to donate 1 million Naira to the 8 time Nigerian Professional Football League champions who are currently managed by Finidi George.

The men in blue took on Al Ittihad Sc. yesterday at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba in the first leg of the playoffs round of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The People’s Elephant scored twice in the first half from the boots of Sodiq Abubakar and Victor Mbaoma

Commenting on the victory on his Facebook account, Kalu said, “On Saturday, I promised to gift one million naira to the players of Enyimba FC should they win their yesterday’s CAF Confederation Cup against the Al Ittihad Sc.

“I am so happy Enyimba won with 2-0 and I have duly fulfilled my promise. Congratulations Enyimba!
