Akwa-Ibom lawmaker provides free health care support for 2000 constituents

Mr. Pat Ifon, the House of Representatives member representing Eket, Esit Eket, Ibeno and Onna federal constituency of Akwa Ibom state, at the National Assembly, has disclosed that 2000 people from his constituency will be benefiting from his free health care initiative.

The lawmaker said his efforts will help consolidate on the state governments already existing health care support.

Represented by his wife, Dr. Elsie Ifon, he called on the people to come out en masse for to participate in the exercise which he said included outpatient and surgical procedures such as eye examination, surgery, malaria treatment and sundry medical exigencies.

“Health is wealth and when you are healthy you can do a lot of things including eating. The exercise was to ensure that our constituents are healthy and also to compliment laudable health programmes that the State Government is doing.We are making sure that the people at the grass roots have access to good health care,” Ifon said.
