Jack Dorsey, the Founder of the micro-blogging website, Twitter has officially stepped down as the Chief Executive Officer of the social media giant.

Mr. Dorsey is set to be replaced by Parag Agrawal, who has been the chief technology officer and has been at Twitter for about ten years.

Dorsey, 45, founded Twitter back in 2006, but only became the chief executive when it eventually went public in 2015.

Dorsey has come under serious criticism over his management style, and for allegedly failing to deal with hate speeches, and recently drew public outrage after he blocked users from sharing a New York Times post about Joe Biden’s son, Hunter.

He also owns Square and is also said to be interested in cryptocurrency.
