Defeated Andy Uba vows to challenge Soludo’s victory in court, claims he was ‘cheated’

Despite his resounding defeat in last Saturday’s Anambra State Governorship elections, the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Andy Uba has vowed to contest the outcome of the election in court.

Mr. Uba who lost his own ward to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and its candidate, Prof. Charles Soludo, was clearly defeated as he scored just 43,285 votes compared to the eventual winner’s 112,229 votes.

Speaking to his party members on Saturday, Uba said he was cheated at the polls and that his followers should relax and see him reclaim his victory in court.

“I am confident that APC will reclaim the stolen mandate at the court,” Uba said.

“I am not hungry and nobody here on the high table is hungry and by grace of God we will recover this mandate.”
