The fans deserve better, we will be back- Harry Maguire

Manchester United captain, Harry Maguire has assured the fans that their faith in the club will be rewarded.

Maguire was speaking to club journalists when he made this known after his side’s awful outing against Liverpool, where the later came out 5:0 winners.

Maguire, 28, said his performances for United of recent have not been too good, however most Old Trafford faithfuls believe he is not good enough to be in the side, not to talk of wearing the armband, despite the £80m the club coughed out for him some years back.

“We have amazing fans, the support that they give us in the stadium, home and away, win, lose or draw is amazing. They sing, they’re the loudest fans and they show their support and their appreciation,” Harry Maguire said.

“On the other hand it makes me feel disappointed because we let them down. As players we let the management down, we let the staff down and we let the club down, but most importantly we let the fans down.

“We know we’ve got to improve and I can assure you we’re doing everything we can and giving everything day in, day out to make sure that we improve on these performances, and I’m sure we’ll come through this difficult period and kick on again.”
