A Yenagoa Federal high Court has had to entertain an 18-year-old that has been brought before it by the DSS for allegedly exposing a nude video of a former Bayelsa State Permanent Secretary online.
Mr Victor Uchendu, who was the Prosecuting officer in the case, said the accused was guilty of the one-count charge of cyber-stalking, which he claimed contravened the Cybercrimes Prohibition Act of 2015.
He added that the teenager went on to share the nudes of the retiree on WhatsApp and other social media outlets on 14th September, after she tried but failed to get her victim to pay her N15m.
After she pleaded not guilty to thr charge, her defence attorney, Arthur Andrew solicited the court to release his client, noting that a Yenogoa High Court had earlier granted bail to the girl, after she was locked up for 13 days.
The presiding judge, Justice I. H. Ndahen, ordered the teenager to be remanded at the Nigerian Correctional Service facility in Yenagoa until Oct. 21 to hear the bail application
