EXCLUSIVE| How Nigerian Air Force paid Bandits N20m NOT to Shoot Down Buhari’s Jet

The Nigerian Government has had to pay bandits the sum of N20m to keep them from shooting down the presidential jet.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the money was given to the bandits in cash in the Rugu forests covering parts of Zamfara, Kaduna and President Muhammadu Buhari’s home State of Katsina.

The Rugu jungle is known for been the hive for most kidnapping syndicates in Nigeria, with most of the operations carried out against the country are conceived there.

According to an Air Force officer who pleaded anonymity, the Nigerian Air Force coordinated ransom payments to the armed bandits in exchange for an anti-aircraft gun seized from the Nigerian Army.

They did this because the military realised that it would be too risky to leave the weapon in the hands of violent criminals operating in an area the presidential jet would fly over.
“The mission to buy back the antiaircraft gun began with a handoff from a high-ranking air force intelligence officer in the capital Abuja: a black zip-up bag he said was full of 20 million Nigerian naira,” reported The Journal.

Anti-aircraft Gun.

He went ahead to disclose that such military hardware in the hands of bandits “posed a threat to President Muhammadu Buhari, who had been planning to fly to his hometown about 80 miles away.”

The gun truck with 12.7 caliber anti-aircraft fire was reportedly disassembled and transported back to the military on motorbikes after the deal was concluded.

Again, the Nigerian Military led by the Federal Government can successfully flush out Banditry and Boko Haram terrorism from Nigeria if they wanted to. And this proves that.

  1. They will always deny this. But Nigerians know better that the government is subservient to Boko Haram and criminal bandits. If not, why is Gumi still walking a free man today when he knows them, their activities and their whereabouts.
Nigerians are waiting for government intentions. American Security outfit is by far greater than than to formulate fictitious stories.
