The Department of State Services (DSS) have allegedly flown Nollywood Actor, Chiwetalu Agu to Abuja for further interrogation.
Agu who was arrested on the 7th by the Nigerian Army in Anambra, is an avid supporter of Biafra and has never hidden his criticism of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Army had arrested him for terrorism, and for inciting violence, charges which the actor refuted. He was then handed over to the Secret Police for onward investigation.
According to a relative who pleaded anonymity, Agu was flown to Abuja and both family and lawyers have been restricted from visiting the 65-year-old actor.
“We spent two days trying to ascertain his whereabouts. We were later informed that he was moved to Enugu and then Abuja. We heard that the idea is to move him away from the South-East. We have made efforts to see him, but the DSS has not granted us access. Even the lawyers have not been allowed to reach him,” the relative said.
The Secret Police are known for whisking away those who oppose the present administration and for keeping them locked up for long periods of time.
Efforts to get through to the DSS for confirmation proved abortive.
