Former Aide to Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has advised Fulani herdsmen to head to Sambisa Forest and fight Boko Haram for rancheable land.
The human rights activist said the Federal Government has no business helping the nomads get lands since their business is a private affair.
The Buhari-led administration is known for its tenderness only when it comes to herdsmen. Him and his aides have often given the impression that open grazing, ranching and herding are Nigeria’s State business by default.
They have never spoken up for other businesses that contribute far more to the economy, neither have they tried supporting them with funds. But things change when it comes to Fulani herdsmen who are often pampered.
“If herdsmen want ranches, it is not the business of the Federal Government to use public funds to buy and develop ranches for them. If herders want land for ranching, then they should either buy land or go to Sambisa to fight and dispossess Boko Haram off their land,” said Reno who is an avid critic of Buhari.
