Facebook, WhatsApp & Instagram Back online After Hours of outage

After hours of un-announced shut down of services, WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook have finally come back online.

WhatsApp had taken to Twitter to express their apologies for the unexpected shutdown of their servers, even as they urged users to be calm.

In a tweet, WhatsApp announced that the problem, which some alleged was due to their servers being hacked, has been fixed.

“We’re back, Go check your phones.
Sorry for the inconvenience,” the short tweet read.

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of the three beleaguered sites said, “To the huge community of people and businesses around the world who depend on us: we’re sorry. We’ve been working hard to restore access to our apps and services and are happy to report they are coming back online now. Thank you for bearing with us.”

It is clear the three companies have lost millions of dollars within those hours of outage.
